For centuries, mankind has physically (organs) extended itself.
Ever since the advent of electricity, we started to extend our central nervous system.
The internet is another example of our extended central nervous system.
AI is an overheating of the internet era(current technology),
AI is trying to encompass all of these conscious processes that take place inside our mind. They control the overall physical extensions of our body.
AI is an umbrella where all of these processes come together and they fire these pathways simultaneously at the same time.

The primitive hunter or fisherman did no work, any more than does the poet, painter, or thinker of today. Where the whole man is involved, there is no work
The hunters and fishermen were fragmented by our technologies for centuries. This created a class of different jobs for different people. The painters, poets, and thinkers were outside the structure.
But after centuries of creating classifications and hierarchies, in the electric age, we are trying to bring back 'the whole man'.
